keba

Privacy Policy

Effective 10 September 2026

keba is an iPhone app that plans a week of dinners and writes your shopping list. It is made by Emre Berk (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what keba collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

A random ID

The first time you open keba, it creates a random ID. It is not linked to your name or your Apple ID.

Your answers

What you tell keba during setup and in Profile:

Your plans

The dinners keba picks for each week, the number of servings, and their estimated cost.

Invite codes

Your invite code, any code you redeem, and the free plans you have earned.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold by Apple, and we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active we use RevenueCat, which receives your random ID and Apple’s record of your purchase.

Technical data

When the app talks to our server, the server sees your IP address and the request itself. These go into server logs that we keep for a short time, to keep keba running and to spot abuse. We also note when your random ID was first and last used.

Allergies and diets

Allergies and diets can say something about your health, so we treat them with extra care. They are optional. We use them only to remove recipes that don’t suit you, and we never sell them or use them for advertising. You can change or remove them in Profile at any time.

How we use your data

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK: we use your data because you asked us to provide keba (to perform our agreement with you) and to keep the service secure (our legitimate interest). We use allergy and diet answers only with your explicit consent, which you give by entering them and can withdraw by removing them.

What we don’t do

Who else handles your data

Each of them handles data only to provide their service to us. Your data may be processed in a country other than the one you live in.

How long we keep it

Your answers, plans and invite codes are kept until you delete them. Server logs are kept for a short time and then deleted.

Your choices

Deleting the app does not delete your data from our server. Use Delete my data first.

Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, such as objecting to how we use your data or complaining to your local data protection authority. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information.

Children

keba is made for adults planning meals for their household. It is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. We ask for children’s ages only to size portions, and never for a child’s name or anything else about them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
